PBA Wives and Girlfriends: Part I

“Kapag magaling mag-basketball gumagwapo!” Sam Cassell won’t agree but here in the Philippines we often hear people say this and have accepted it as a universal fact. It’s no secret that Filipinos are basketball crazy. In one of his tweets, Kevin Durant even posted a photo of Filipinos playing basketball in waist-deep water. So it’s only natural that in a country like ours, basketball players are revered and admired. Professional basketball players in the Philippines are celebrities because of the popularity of the sport. And as is the case for famous people, they can’t help it if gorgeous and beautiful women gravitate towards them. (Lucky bastards.)

Here in BTB, we have compiled a list of PBA wives and girlfriends that will make you wish you enrolled in Milo Best when you were six years old.

For this week, we’ll be looking at 5 of the hotties that will make your knees weak and your mouths dribble.

Carla Abellana (JC Intal)

Carla Abellana is one of GMA’s most popular young actresses. She used to date JC Intal up until 2009 when they broke up for reasons that we are not really aware of. If you search for the terms “Carla Abellana JC Intal” the first thing you’ll see is a picture of them kissing. (Search mo sige, kung masokista ka at gusto mong masaktan.) Love is not all about just looks. But dude, seriously, I can’t imagine breaking up with a Carla Abellana. Sayang, JC! Slam dunk na yan!

Bianca Gonzales (JC Intal)

Ikaw nanaman, JC?!? In 2011, JC Intal was rumored to be dating actress/host Bianca Gonzales. I’ve had the chance to meet her in person one time when Y Speak went to our school. Back then she was still young, but she was already a sexy and brainy morena. Now she’s posing for different magazines and has been a mainstay of FHM’s 100 sexiest. Nakakarami ka na JC ha! Mamigay ka naman!

Danica Sotto-Pingris (Marc Pingris)

The daughter of Bossing Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie, it’s no wonder that the product is a hot and sexy lady. In 2007, she married Purefoods/B-MEG/San Mig Coffee rebounding superstar Marc “Sakuragi” Pingris. Still beautiful and sexy even with two kids, she frequents the Smart Araneta Coliseum to support her husband. So if you watch some of San Mig’s games, look out for her in the patron area.

LJ Moreno-Alapag (Jimmy Alapag)

You probably know LJ Moreno from her recent stints in local reality shows. She staged a “comeback” by joining ABS-CBN’s local rendition of Fear Factor in 2007. Now she’s one of the participants in TV5’s Amazing Race Philippines. She married Talk ‘N Text star Jimmy Alapag in 2010. Matinik talaga si Mighty Mouse!

Valerie Concepcion (Dondon Hontiveros)

Admit it, we all used to watch Wowowee just because of Mariel Rodriguez and Valerie Concepcion. Valerie was in FHM’s 100 sexiest from 2006-2011. Now that’s consistency. She’s currently linked to Dondon Hontiveros, currently playing for the Petron Blaze Boosters and one of the PBA’s best. Valerie can be frequently seen watching Dondon’s games. I’ve seen her once or twice, and let me tell you guys, the pictures do not give this girl justice. Dondon, pakasalan mo na baka makatakas pa! Shoot na bago maagawan!
